The purpose of this study was to examine the strength, resilience, and stiffness of different stitching techniques used in orthopedic surgery. The authors found that the Whip-Lock sitch performed better for the semitendinosus tendon (i.e., a hamstring muscle), but performed similarly to the Whipstitch for the quadriceps tendon.
